about

Written, rehearsed, and recorded in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, "Vigil" is composed for narrator and improvising ensemble. The poems are derived from news reports, interviews with people affected, and observations on the world changed by this virus.

"Vigil" was performed by members of Toronto Improvisors Orchestra in several sessions via Zoom video-conference in July and August 2020.
